Lockdown Update

NATIONWISE LOCKDOWN

Aoa,

Following on from the government decision to follow a month long lockdown in England, starting from midnight 4th November, the trustees and the maulana have decided the following, to ensure we follow the government guidance. Please follow this advice, stay safe, save lives, protect the NHS.

  1. For the duration of the lockdown there will be NO congregational prayers (Jamaat), either daily or on Friday (Jumma).
  2. Where possible, please pray at home
  3. The King St Mosque, will be open for 15 minutes at each of daily Jamaat times as stated in the prayer timetable, for INDIVIDUAL prayers, should you wish to do so.

All Covid safe safety measure already in place continue to apply. These are:

  1. Come with wuzu
  2. Bring your own mat and bag for your shoes
  3. You must wear a full face covering (mask), including the nose.
  4. Follow track and trace procedure (phone number will be needed)
  5. Use the hand Gel on entry and exit.
  6. Maintain 2m distance (use the designated prayer spots) when praying
  7. Please do not linger and congregate socially, before or after, your individual prayer.

Please continue to support the masjid by donating online (account details on the prayer timetable) or via the paypal online facility. £10 per week.

We hope to complete the car park resurfacing during the lockdown but need your help to fund the £30k budget. Please donate generously to this lasting legacy. Those blessed with the means, we ask £500-£1000. Remember all risq comes from Allah in the first place. Allah tests to see how much of that we spend in his cause.

If you are tax payer we will be able reclaim 25% tax you paid. So if you donate, please send text via “the contact us” link, with your name and address and telephone number.

Budget £30k. Donations so far £1,400

Let’s hit our target by end of November
